This caring marathon cop battles pancreatic cancer – with prayers and a positive attitude

Police Sergeant John Cain is one of the most positive and determined people out there, and his cancer story will inspire you.

Police Sergeant John Cain, who helped a struggling Robert McCoy, a cancer survivor cross the finish line of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in November 2015, finds himself battling pancreatic cancer, a deadly form of cancer. His heartwarming gesture went viral and now he needs all the prayers he can get.

People in his local community in the Savannah-Chatham Metro area of coastal Georgia are rallying for this incredible guy with local police officers wearing purple ribbons and a relay to raise money for this caring and courageous cop.

With his church teaming up with Georgia’s Game Changers Running Company, whose motto is “don’t let a setback keep you from a comeback,” they were able to raise money and show support to keep his hope to beat his cancer.
