Botox Urinary Incontinence Treatment by Injecting into Bladder

Botox Urinary Incontinence
Botox, which is used by many people, especially celebrities to reduce facial frown lines has now been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat urinary incontinence in people with neurological conditions such as spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis.

Botox Bladder Injections
According to the FDA, Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) will be injected into the bladder, relaxing the bladder, and the drug’s effects will last for about nine months. Some people with these conditions have uncontrolled bladder contractions, which leads to inability to retain urine. Common treatments include medication or a catheter.
Marketed by Irvine, California-based Allergan Inc., besides facial frown lines, Botox is used in treating chronic migraine, certain forms of muscle stiffness, severe underarm sweating and abnormal twitches of the eyelid.
