Oscars 2013 Predictions: Will Argo or Lincoln Win Best Picture?

Oscars 2013 Predictions

While “Argo” has racked up four other major awards such as the Golden Globe awards for Best Picture, the big question is will “Lincoln” hold on to its favorite spot at the Oscars tonight, or will the momentum that “Argo” has garnered push “Lincoln” off the top prediction spot?

CBS News reports that the Ben Affleck-directed CIA movie “Argo,” had a 93 percent likelihood to win, according to PredictWise, a site that aggregates, analyzes and creates predictions in real-time.

David Rothschild, an economist at Microsoft Research who analyzes data for PredictWise said: “As the awards shows really coalesced around a few people in major categories we saw a major shift and it was fun to see how that progressed. ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ moved down a little bit. ‘Lincoln’ stabilized. We saw ‘Argo’ especially for best pictures and best adapted screenplay shoot up.”

What do you think? I personally think Argo will win the Best Picture Award, but “Lincoln” will win other awards, especially Daniel Day-Lewis for Best Actor for his role in “Lincoln.”
