Madonna Halftime Show: With Nicki Minaj, Cee Lo & M.I.A.

Madonna Halftime Show
53-year old Madonna dazzled the crowd and viewers at Sunday night’s Super Bowl halftime show between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.
Madonna started the Super Bowl halftime show with an army of Roman gladiators and ended with plea for world peace written in lights.
The halftime show was one of the best on record, and Entertainment Weekly critic Ken Tucker agreed, calling Madonna’s performance “joyous, unironic, open-hearted … She was both in full command and full of generosity towards her massive audience.”
With a new album titled “MDNA” out March 26, Madonna teamed up with choreographer Jamie King and Canada’s Cirque du Soleil for the most-watched musical interlude of any major sporting event in the world.

Madonna Nicki Minaj Super Bowl Halftime Show
Rap queen Nicki Minaj and controversial M.I.A. joined Madonna for the just-released “Give Me All Your Luvin” set to a “Glee”-like cheerleader theme, complete with golden pom-poms and marching band.
While the show was simply amazing, the only stir was caused by 36-year old M.I.A. (born Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam), the U.K.-born rapper/pop star who joined Madonna for “Give Me All Your Luvin,” and gave the entire Super Bowl viewing audience the middle finger, presumably causing the second-long freeze frame that happened midway through “Give Me All Your Luvin.”

Madonna Cee Lo Super Bowl Halftime Show
37-year old Cee Lo stole the show at the end, donning a silver marching band helmet and a glimmering black robe to duet “Like a Prayer” with Madonna. Everybody seem to have nailed their part including the backup dancers.
