Like most people, we always wonder why sometimes we are the only person in the waiting room and yet we still wait for 30 minutes, plus another 12 minutes in the exam room twittling our thumbs?

Well, it is not unusual for some doctors to see 100 patients per day. The reason doctors have to see so many patients is because they are paid much less than they used to be, while rent, insurance, employee salaries/benefits, capital expenses, and regulatory compliance costs have continued to rise. Chasing down and appealing payments from insurance companies takes time and money. Nobody gets paid but a fraction of the amount billed, which is why doctors cram people into time frames at one every 5 minutes.
