With president Obama’s health care summit today between the Democrats and Republicans in an effort to re-ignite the stalled health care reform bill, it is noted that this six-hour made-for-TV meeting will be mostly political posturing. In my opinion, the chance of any substantive movement in pushing forward a bipartisan health care reform bill is minimal at best.

But I would say, that at least the public will be able to judge President Obama’s proposed health care reform bill on its merit. Let’s just hope that all the haterade the Republicans have been drinking has run out, and they can at least bring a credible alternative to Obama’s health care reform plan.

President Obama’s healthcare summit begins at 10 a.m. and will be televised live on C-SPAN. While they may be sitting around a square table at the Blair House, it maybe a case of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Let the “Olympic” health care summit begin, and let’s see who wins the gold medal.
