Did President Obama’s State of The Union Speech Save Healthcare Reform?

I wish Presient Obama’s speech was enough to get the necessary votes to pass the much needed healthcare reform bill. While both parties may have showed some form of unity during his State of the Union address, we all know that today both parties will go back to their trenches and keeping fighting a political turf war that only hurts the American people.

Remember that the Roman Empire imploded from within, and I see the “American Empire” coming to an end soon if the Republicans keep blocking everything and trying to make President Obama fail.

Overall, most of President Obama’s ideas are sound and well overdue. My biggest concern is that he is trying to move too quickly, with too many changes. People who are currently happy with their health plans may feel threatened and are vulnerable to misinformation. Politicians, unfortunately, have to worry about appeasing their electorate for the next election.
