Are Patient EULAs Worth It?
The story about Medical Justice, a company that helps doctors avoid consumer ratings, is surely not going away anytime soon. But my impression is that to say one can impede a patient’s First Amendment Right to freely speak out about his or her doctor is not only comical but may be unenforceable.
Most doctor rating sites let you post anonymously and I say good luck finding out who posted a negative rating about a doctor. Those EULAs that some doctors push patients to sign are worthless, and will only deter patients from coming back to them. Please if anyone out there has been made to sign away their right to rate their doctor, contact us, and we will make sure others are aware of those doctors.
