You may not have heard about Velo-Cardio Facial Syndrome (VCFS), which was published in 1978, but you unless you know someone with it, it may be oblivious to you. Many of the anomalies associated with the VCFS are not apparent at birth, or even in early childhood, primarily because they are behavioral, or in some cases because they are “silent” anomalies, meaning that they are not symptomatic. Visit  http://www.vcfsef.org for more information.
