Weirdo doctor handcuffed and drove off with known prostitute:

When I read this story, I was surprised, but I know there are a lot of weird people out there, and that is evident in the case in Austria in which Josef Fritzl kept his own daughter captive for 24 years and impregnated her 7 times.

Well, another crazy story involving a doctor in Daytona Beach, Florida, recently happened, when Dr. Jerrold Ecklind, an Ormond Beach osteopathic surgeon who specializes in geriatrics, was arrested after impersonating a police officer, handcuffed and drove off with a known prostitute. He was known for the old-time practice of making house calls to see his elderly patients. It makes me sick to my stomach that a doctor like that was out there practicing medicine, and on top of that going to peoples homes. I guess no profession is immune from such crazy acts. Dr. Ecklind was also found with three pistols: a Warthog .45-caliber in a holster on Ecklind’s left hip, a Glock 9 mm 26 and a .32-caliber Beretta. I guess it is sometimes difficult to know if a doctor has a criminal record or intent.

According to the Daytona News Journal, in a prominent ad in the telephone book, the 37-year-old Ecklind states, “The doctor is only a phone call away.” I guess he was really only a phone call away from handcuffing women!
