I was reading a blog entry by Kevin Pho, a primary care doctor of KevinMD Blog, and also reading his piece on the WSJ Health blog, I wonder if that is the true cure for the U.S. primary care woes.

Dr. Pho indicates that the shortage of primary care doctors comes down to money. I beg to disagree. Yes, there are many medical students who would rather be a specialist and make more money, but if American medical students don’t want to go down the primary care path, why not bring in foreigners who will be more than glad to make $150,000 a year. Specialist may make about $350,000 a year, but I believe there are a lot of medical students in other countries that will salivate for $150,000 a year.
