Prescription drug-related deaths have seen a marked increase since a decade ago, according to those reported to the FDA.

According to Dr. Thomas J. Moore, from the Institute for Safe Medication Practices in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, and colleagues, “the results highlight the importance of this public health problem and illustrate the need for improved systems to manage the risks of prescription drugs.”
