That is according to a new study published in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and carried out by researchers in Hadassah-Hebrew University in Jerusalem. The study found that women who had stillbirths were more likely to have heart disease and Type 1 diabetes before becoming pregnant and to develop preeclampsia and gestational diabetes while pregnant. These women were at greater risk of dying in subsequent decades than women who have been pregnant and had only live births.
