Human Trials of Cannabis Obesity Drug
An experimental treatment for obesity derived from marijuana plants to start:
Drug companies are trying to harness the power of cannabis, which is commonly associated with stimulating hunger. Companies like GW Pharmaceuticals, are working on switching off the brain circuits that make people hungry when they smoke, hence helping to suppress hunger. According to GW Managing Director, “the cannabis plant has 70 different cannabinoids in it and each has a different affect on the body.” I guess marijuana plants may be the answer to getting people off their couch and living a healthy life.
