This “super fruit” with its powerful antioxidants is said to protect and rejuvenate cells:

We have all heard it before, remember the Noni craze? Now we have the gac fruit (Momordica cochinchinensis spreng), this large red fruit indigenous to South Asia (Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia) is the size of a honeydew lemon. It is used as a traditional remedy for arthritis, and cardiovascular and macular degeneration. Studies have shown that the gac fruit is amongst the most nutrient-dense fruits, and it contains high concentrations of beta carotene and lycopene.

The gac fruit has 70 times more lycopene than that found in tomatoes, and 10 times more beta carotene than that found in carrots. Certainly, this fruit has some heavenly qualities, and according to the Harvard School of Public Health, 57 studies demonstrated that a high blood lycopene level can reduce the risk of a number of cancers, particularly prostate, lung, breast, and stomach cancers.
