January is cervical health awareness month:

Most people will be surprised to know that cervical cancer is the second most-common form of cancer in women worldwide. There are now 500,000 new cases and 250,000 deaths reported each year. The need for worldwide cervical cancer is especially more pressing in developing countries where 80 percent of new cervical cancer cases occur. In these countries, over 95 percent of the women have never had a pap test.
