when I get a pap smear, I want the doctor to be a woman because it makes me more comfortable so what do I say if the doctor is a guy?

I would be honest and let him know that you are uncomfortable. Since they are professional, he will most likely answer any concerns you may have. Also in many large OB/GYN offices they do have registered nurse practitioners or physician assistants that can perform pap smears. That way you get to have a female.
